With over two decades of experience in public relations, corporate communications, and public policy, Shipra is a seasoned professional recognized for her work in government relations and stakeholder engagement. Currently associated with Ashoka University, she brings her deep understanding of government relations, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications to her work of building strong institutional and industry linkages.
Government relations have always been central to Shipra’s career philosophy. Based in Delhi, she has worked with industry associations, think tanks, and government bodies, participating in policy deliberations and contributing to approach papers on key national issues.
With over two decades of rich and diverse experience in public relations, corporate communications, and policy advocacy, Shipra is a respected voice in India’s public affairs and policy ecosystem.
As Head of the Africa Division at CII, she played a key role in strengthening India–Africa business partnerships, travelling across 42 African countries and developing an exceptional understanding of the region’s trade and investment dynamics. At Kirloskar Brothers Limited, she led corporate global marketing and communications, driving cross-geography alignment and engagement with local governments. Her tenure at Bharat Forge saw her actively navigate the defense sector and support strategic collaboration with India’s Ministry of Defence.
Before joining Ashoka, Shipra worked with a boutique policy advisory firm where she advised clients on government engagement strategies and public affairs initiatives. A graduate of Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, Shipra holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Delhi University and a postgraduate diploma in Business Management from the University of Jammu.
She is deeply passionate about reading, travelling, and building meaningful connections with people.
